We're thrilled to report that the Kickstarter for APRIL’S MAGICAL WORLDAND HER JOY FOR LIVING SLOW, is now in its last 48 hours! Huge thanks to everyone who's already backed and spread the word!
APRIL’S MAGICAL WORLD AND HER JOY FOR LIVING SLOW are a series of four story books about the wonders of a childhood filled with imagination, creativity, friends from different backgrounds, love for nature and lots of outdoors playing and fun! Because “April’s magical world is full of adventures that take over her word”
This is the kind of children’s literature we've always loved, with brilliant colours and amazing stories that rhyme!
Well, you will read the books and find out how one awesome girl enjoys life at her slow-paced rhythm when they get illustrated and published, thanks to your loving support!
So far the campaign's so close to hit a huge stretch goal, so every backer from £10 will get a big digital bonus of the book April’s Magical Friends, in PDF form.

Who would like to see more children who create their own games instead of complaining about being bored and "needing" a toy or someone else to entertain them?
One of the biggest gifts of raising children in nature along with a path of education that is based on play, creativity and connection is that they have limitless imagination so they are curious about life and they are abundant when it comes to games and play. Not one day passes without these children creating a toy or a game from nothing, most of the times, just a stick or a pebble in the garden.
This naturally makes them joy to hang out and play with for their peers.
My friend Kizzy, who is the mother of beautiful Abril -my son's friend-, wrote 4 children's books to inspire connection, joy, gratitude, calmness and creativity for children and parents.
Imagine gifting these to your children or those who are close to your heart. What a precious gift!

Who Am I and What does having YOUR support mean to me?
Hello! As many of you know, my name is Kizzy, which in the Mandinka language means: “stillness; be at peace” to what my life story honours.
I am Venezuelan, and seven years ago I left my family and my country, to which I cannot return due to the political, economic and social crisis.
As a journalist with a PhD, and university professor in the field of Communication, I have always had a fascination for letters and a grand passion for writing. This excitement for putting into words my ideas has an additional value now: my daughter’s great imagination! She is the soul of this beautiful project! She opened a door for me to discover a world full of joy and wonders. So, as a mother, these books are my dream of doing what I love while enjoying a good quality of life with my daughter here in the UK, and your support would be contributing to this goal.
Telling you a little bit about my personal story, I am the blessed and proud mother of Abril. And I am also a single mother with no family support, who does her very best each day to put food on the table and a warm roof over our heads. My migratory status does not allow me to get public funds, and if it wasn’t for my beautiful community and friends, I think I would have gone to bed without eating for more than a day.
Like some of you, I have had to go through many challenges and traumas in life, like a toxic childhood with an abusive stepfather, emigrating and leaving my family behind, domestic violence, postnatal depression, coercive control, two divorces, immigration issues, and many other problems. But, that old narrative is not my story anymore. I replaced it with choosing to be a survivor, not a victim of my past, because I know I can create the beauty I want to see in my personal life and in the world.
As Goethe said: "The moment one definitely commits oneself, then providence moves too!
I know that the more I act upon my excitements, the more I can navigate through tough times and the better I feel.
So, by backing my children books Kickstarter project, you will also support not only a woman who never gives up, but also a mother and her daughter who believe that it's possible to live their envisioned life in this reality. My request of you is to share this story with at least 10 of your friends, so that more people have the opportunity to support my dream to become a children books author.
I am not alone! I don't feel alone! I feel supported and I am truly grateful for that.
